About the Cause

Not many people really understand the work our children's hospices do. That is, unless you have a seriously ill child. Then you understand children's hospices in a whole new light.

Caring for a child with serious health needs round the clock can be emotionally and physically exhausting. Many seriously ill children need specialist care, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Every day children’s hospices across the UK are helping children and families make the most of the time that they have together.

The 54 children's hospices around the UK support families like Max’s, Anaaya’s and Joshua’s during their darkest times.

But with over 99,000 seriously ill children, hospices are struggling to raise the funds they need to continue the vital work they do.

At ChatUK, we believe that every child with life limiting and life threatening conditions should have access to that same level of care and support. 

That’s why in June 2022, children’s nurse Francesca is cycling 3200 miles across the UK to each of the hospices to raise money and awareness of children's hospices nationally.

At ChatUK, we’re on a mission to match Francesca’s 3200 miles with children and adults around the UK working together to travel the same distance - be it by foot, bike, wheelchair or any means possible!

Whether it’s one mile, two miles, three miles or more - what matters is your help to raise money for seriously ill children who need our support.

The race to 3200 miles starts on the 20th June 2022. Will Francesca or the children and adults get there first?
